About the game

Tank Stars is a turn-based artillery game. Two tanks face each other across a battlefield. You take turns. Each turn, you aim, select a weapon from your available arsenal, and fire. The round ends when one tank runs out of health. It is a format that goes back decades, and this version keeps the mechanics clean while giving you a range of weapons with different blast radii and trajectories.

How it plays

On your turn, you drag to set the angle and power of your shot, then choose which weapon to deploy. Different weapons behave differently in flight: some arc high, some travel flat, some detonate on impact while others have a delayed effect. The terrain between you and the opponent can block shots or funnel them. Reading that terrain is the skill that separates early misses from accurate hits. The opponent fires on their turn with the same mechanics and the same weapon variety. Neither side has a structural advantage; it is an information problem on every turn.

What to expect

A single battle in Tank Stars is short. Most matches end in three to eight turns per side. The back-and-forth format gives the game a rhythm: your turn, their turn, adjust, fire. The first shot in a match is almost always a miss as you calibrate distance. The second shot is closer. By the third you usually have the angle locked, and the match gets decided by who runs out of health first. You can restart a match in seconds, and the opponent’s behavior adapts between rounds. A full session playing through several matches typically runs twenty to thirty minutes.

Who it’s for

Tank Stars fits players who enjoy turn-based games without a chess-level commitment. The weapon variety holds interest past the first few matches. It does not suit players who want real-time action or cooperative play. This is solo versus AI. If that sounds too slow, the other titles in the collection move faster.
